The *NOSH* Lewknor, 12th January 2020

*NOSH* January 2019*NOSH* January 2019

ere we are again the New Year has just begun and weather permitting, time for the Club's Annual 'Curtain Raiser'! As ever, we will be gathering at 'Ye Olde Leathern Bottel' Lewknor, for our traditional, post-Christmas *NOSH*, lunchtime, Sunday, 12th January 2020!

'Ye Olde Leathern Bottel' is located at Lewknor, on the borders of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire and finding your way there could not be easier! Look for Junction 6 of the M40, at the foot of the Chilterns and head towards Watlington on the B4009 (that's heading left after leaving the motorway, coming from London, or right, coming from Birmingham). The first turning on the right after leaving the motorway, takes you into the village of Lewknor and to the door of the 'Ye Olde Leathern Bottel'. Try and arrange to arrive at around opening time (12 noon) to have the best choice from the pub's excellent menu and a comfortable seat (go to for more information and to view a 'sample menu'!).

I have had a look at the sea weed by the back door, dusted off the crystal ball and peered into its foggy innards to see what the weather has in store for the next week or two. At present, the relatively mild spell in the south looks like continuing, much like it was 12 months ago! The local, Lewknor forecast for the 12th January, suggests light cloud; a possible glimpse of something sunny; a temperature of around 8°C; a chance of rain early on and a gentle south westerly breeze – also much like last time! Whatever the weather, it should be a perfect day out, and we are usually lucky!!
