2021 AGM at the Fleece Inn - 30th October 2021

reminder that after a year's CoviD related break, Members are cordially invited to attend the Club's Annual General Meeting, to be held on Saturday 30th October 2021 at the Fleece Inn, Bretforton, Worcestershire, WR11 7JE ( https://thefleeceinn.co.uk/ - Image, courtesy Adam Quellin, shows a painting of the Fleece Inn, on exhibit by the National Trust, at Croome Court, Worcestershire). Hopefully this will not come as a surprise since all should have received an earlier, mailing!

Our late October meeting should benefit from reasonable weather as well as a lighter evening, immediately before the end of British Summer Time. The plan is to start the AGM at 10am, with the intention of having the more 'formal' proceedings first, taking any Reports, reviewing the Club Accounts and electing a Committee to see us through the next twelve months. Copies of the Club Accounts for the years ending 30th September 2020 and 2021, will be available at the meeting. We will then take Any Other Business, detailed in the Agenda, a copy of which you should have received, by e-mail, beforehand. Please let our Honorary Secretary, Tony Yates, know if you have not received copies of the Agenda, or Minutes of the 2019 AGM, and wish to see them, and also any views that you may have on the future direction of the Club.

In the absence of a suitable candidate coming forward, our Honorary Secretary stepped in as the interim replacement for our former Honorary Treasurer, Graham Taylor, who retired at our 2019 AGM. We continue to seek a replacement and are accepting nominations to this important position on the Committee.

The meeting is expected to end by lunchtime, but if you wish to stay on, I am sure that less formal discussions will continue and of course the Fleece Inn provides both fine ales (if you are not intending to drive) and also, excellent lunches! Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available during the meeting. At the Fleece InnAt the Fleece Inn

If you need more details concerning the AGM, the Club, or have any other queries and indeed, if you would like to join the Committee and help in any capacity, please let our Secretary, Tony, know as soon as possible (by e-mail to secretary@messerschmittclub.org) or 'phone 07973 448023.

Furthermore, if you wish to attend the AGM, also please let our Secretary, Tony, know so we can look out for you on the day and indeed, if you are unable to attend, so we can record your apologies in the Minutes. I hope that we will be able to accommodate everyone who wishes to attend the meeting, under these continuing, difficult times.
